PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rmarkas Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Supernova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fletcher might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Keep on Lovin Me Baby by Colin James. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Supernova throws a leg kick but Fletcher sees it coming and moves out of range.

Fletcher looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Supernova!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Supernova avoids a strike by Fletcher and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Fletcher's guard! Fantastic escape!

Fletcher is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Supernova slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Fletcher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Supernova swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fletcher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fletcher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Supernova sprawls well initially but Fletcher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Supernova is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Supernova decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Nice takedown defense from Supernova. No joy for Fletcher on that attempt.
Supernova loads up on a big right hand but Fletcher slips the punch.
Fletcher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Supernova sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fletcher somewhat.
Good leg kick by Supernova there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fletcher wants to free his trapped foot but Supernova is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Supernova is looking to stand up but Fletcher isn't so interested in that idea.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fletcher doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Supernova motions for Fletcher to come forward. Supernova throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Fletcher swats away the attempt to clinch by Supernova.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
