Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pentti Hirvonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pentti Hirvonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christian Scott!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hirvonen to score with a decent uppercut.
Scott moves in looking to clinch but Hirvonen pushes him off.

Scott clinches up with Hirvonen and pushes him back against the cage.
Hirvonen tries to pull guard but Scott holds him up against the cage and eventually Hirvonen drops back down to his feet.

Hirvonen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Scott uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hirvonen.
Hirvonen shoots in and drives through. Scott sprawls well.

Scott is looking to clinch but Hirvonen is avoiding it.

Scott walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scott darts in and clinches Hirvonen up against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Scott is looking to clinch.
Hirvonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hirvonen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Scott uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hirvonen.
Hirvonen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Scott's calf.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hirvonen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scott has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scott and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
