The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helio misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mad Cow.
Mad Cow throws out a leg kick but Helio moves out of range and Mad Cow only half commits.
Mad Cow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Helio.
Helio swings for the body but Mad Cow moves out of range.
Helio takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Mad Cow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Helio moves away.
Mad Cow moves forwards but Helio connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Helio changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mad Cow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Helio controls the position.
Mad Cow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mad Cow wants to improve his position but Helio is controlling well.

Helio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mad Cow manages to avoid it.
Jeff Mad Cow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mad Cow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mad Cow ducks right into an uppercut from Helio.
Helio bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mad Cow's head.

Helio shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mad Cow napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Helio is staying tight to Mad Cow's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Helio has hold of Mad Cow's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mad Cow tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Helio cranks the arm and Mad Cow screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mad Cow, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
