Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BERNARDO BELFORT (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas MacDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BELFORT's entrance music is TAO. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying MacDowell's choice of entrance music: I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDowell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. BELFORT was covering up waiting for the punch and MacDowell finishes the takedown easily into guard.
MacDowell won't allow BELFORT to sweep him here.
MacDowell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as BELFORT works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
MacDowell postures up and lands a big shot to BELFORT's brow.

MacDowell sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed BELFORT's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

BELFORT stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MacDowell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as MacDowell holds on and takes a little breather.

and MacDowell counters with a three punch combo that has BELFORT backing up. BELFORT nods at MacDowell to acknowledge the strikes.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. MacDowell connects with a nice short shot to BELFORT's temple.

MacDowell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but BELFORT does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well MacDowell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
