Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Lotus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Bravado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lotus comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lotus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lotus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bravado circles away quickly and effectively.

Bravado throws a hook but Lotus avoids it easily.
Bravado throws the left hand but Lotus avoids the punch easily.
Bravado uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lotus.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

No joy there for Lotus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Lotus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lotus is looking to wear down Bravado with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Bravado throws a jab when Lotus was well out of range.
Lotus lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Bravado shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lotus defends it nicely.
Bravado throws an overhand right that lands on Lotus's shoulder, as Lotus tries to avoid the shot.

Bravado throws the left hand but Lotus avoids the punch easily.

Bravado shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lotus napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
You can see the frustration on Lotus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bravado is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lotus has escaped the position, nice work there.
I wouldn't like to be where Lotus is right now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lotus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bravado gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bravado throws a shot from downtown. Lotus moves away and avoids it.

Lotus has his foot on Bravado's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bravado works his way back into a safe position though.
Lotus wants to hit a switch here but Bravado passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lotus there!

Lotus is trying to escape the mount but Bravado keeps good control and instead manages to take Lotus's back.

Bravado punches the canvas rather than the man.

Lotus is having to fend off submission attempts from Bravado, who is looking to sink in the choke. Bravado doesn't have the hooks in though and Lotus manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Lotus has gone for a leg lock! Bravado slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lotus's guard.

Lotus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Lotus can't keep his opponent in guard - Bravado advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lotus wants to control but Bravado is keeping busy.
Lotus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lotus trying to get back to full guard but Bravado takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bravado wants to take Lotus's back here but Lotus is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Bravado is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Lotus is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Lotus flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bravado anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Lotus and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bravado slips an arm under Lotus chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bravado has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bravado is squeezing on Lotus like an anaconda would it's prey. Lotus fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
