Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeppe Turska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Diefenbaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turska comes to the cage accompanied by Last of the Mohicans Theme. John Diefenbaker has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeppe Turska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Diefenbaker!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diefenbaker looks to land a left hand but Turska moved out of range nicely.
Jeppe Turska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diefenbaker thows a left - swing and a miss!
Diefenbaker gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Turska.
Turska tries to clinch up.
Diefenbaker throws a right hand that Turska ducks under and follows up with a left that Turska also avoids with ease.
Turska shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diefenbaker as he jumps to the side.

Diefenbaker throws a body punch but Turska moves out of range.
Turska swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Turska shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diefenbaker as he avoids it easily.
No joy there for Diefenbaker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Turska is looking to clinch but Diefenbaker is avoiding it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeppe Turska. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diefenbaker stuffs the takedown attempt from Turska. Turska gets slowly back to his feet.

Diefenbaker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Turska's guard.

Diefenbaker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Diefenbaker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turska. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turska fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Diefenbaker sprawls well initially but Turska persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Turska is just content to waste time from the top position. Diefenbaker takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diefenbaker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Turska sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Turska dives in and grabs Diefenbaker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diefenbaker pushes down on Turska's head and hops out.

Turska closes the distance and clinches up with Diefenbaker, looking for a takedown. Turska pushes Diefenbaker against the cage but Diefenbaker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Diefenbaker takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diefenbaker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Turska darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Turska is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Diefenbaker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Turska is working away from the top position though.
Turska working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
