Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauri Pekkarinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pekkarinen has chosen Elements of Life as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pekkarinen throws a push kick but Hunt slaps the foot to one side.
Nice defenses there by Pekkarinen.
Hunt pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Hunt rushes Pekkarinen and presses him up against the cage.

Pekkarinen is trying to force a seperation but Hunt has the dominant position.

Pekkarinen feints and then cracks Hunt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hunt down.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pekkarinen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hunt has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hunt and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hunt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pekkarinen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pekkarinen has escaped and now he's on top!

Pekkarinen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Pekkarinen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hunt is surviving well by controlling Pekkarinen's body position as best he can.

Hunt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pekkarinen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hunt, into his guard.

Hunt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pekkarinen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pekkarinen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pekkarinen is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Hunt is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Hunt flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Pekkarinen anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Hunt and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Pekkarinen slips an arm under Hunt chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Pekkarinen has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Pekkarinen is squeezing on Hunt like an anaconda would it's prey. Hunt fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
