PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Omaly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Omaly is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Outside - To Forgive but not Forget . Marshall has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Omaly darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Omaly throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Omaly is working for a kimura but Marshall is defending it quite comfortably.
Marshall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marshall tries to get out of the position.
Omaly tries to pass the half guard into mount. Marshall knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Marshall could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Omaly is working for a submission of some sort.
Marshall is breathing heavily.
Marshall won't allow Omaly to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Omaly stops Marshall from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Omaly shoots in but Marshall avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Omaly trying to control the position from guard on top but Marshall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Omaly drops back looking for a leg! Marshall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marshall manages to kick Omaly off! Omaly jumps back into Marshall's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Omaly looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Omaly is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Omaly stops Marshall from standing up.
Omaly in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Omaly postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Marshall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Omaly, into his guard.

Omaly is looking for a triangle but Marshall pushes his legs off easily.

Omaly looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Marshall is defending well. Omaly quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Marshall has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Omaly celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
