Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gustav Gustafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Cartside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gustafsson comes to the cage accompanied by Dark Tranquility - The Final Resistance. Rick Cartside is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustafsson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gustafsson wants it to stay on the feet.
Horrible takedown by Cartside or perhaps it was just good defense by Gustafsson which made him look bad.
Gustafsson throws a hook to the side of Cartside's head but Cartside sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Gustafsson misses with a straight right.
Cartside uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gustafsson.
Gustafsson works the jab nicely.
Gustafsson lunges at Cartside with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Cartside's hand.

Cartside is rocked!
Gustafsson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gustafsson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cartside moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cartside changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gustafsson tries to avoid it but Cartside manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gustafsson to the ground. Gustafsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gustav Gustafsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Cartside.

Cartside is still on wobbly legs! Can Gustafsson finish him?
Gustafsson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cartside on the side of the head.
Gustafsson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cartside manages to avoid it.
Cartside moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Nice takedown defense from Gustafsson. No joy for Cartside on that attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Cartside shoots in for a takedown but Gustafsson shows good takedown defense.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cartside seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Gustafsson shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Cartside is backing up but Gustafsson catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Cartside covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Gustafsson Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustav Gustafsson!
