Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jussi Murikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rmarkas Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murikka's entrance music is Rock'n'Rolla. A fine choice. Fletcher has chosen Keep on Lovin Me Baby by Colin James as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murikka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fletcher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Murikka is fending him off so far but Fletcher persists. Nope, Murikka circles away and we're back to standing.
Murikka wants to clinch.
Fletcher staying out of range there.

Murikka throws a low kick, looking for Fletcher's leg but Fletcher calmly moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murikka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fletcher tries a head kick but it misses.

Murikka throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Murikka throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fletcher was covering up waiting for the punch and Murikka finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Murikka tries to free his leg and advance position but Fletcher is retaining full guard.

Fletcher has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Murikka is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fletcher.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Murikka throws a chopping leg kick but Fletcher manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Murikka lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Murikka lands with a shot to the body.
Fletcher throws a lazy right hand but Murikka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jussi Murikka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murikka will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Fletcher makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Fletcher avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Fletcher swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Murikka cracks Fletcher with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Murikka postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Fletcher in real trouble here! The ref calls for Fletcher to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
