Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taj al Din (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think al Din might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to FEARLESS. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
al Din lands a nice looking body shot.

al Din connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
al Din throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee.

al Din tries to clinch but Lee moves out of range.
Lee tries to bum rush al Din with a series of wild strikes but al Din uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like Owen Lee has been cut.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lee crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from al Din - the referee stops the clock and Lee gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says al Din. Lee manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but al Din sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.

al Din keeps Lee at a distance using the push kick.
al Din cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lee's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
al Din tests Lee's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but al Din shows good takedown defense.
al Din throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
al Din bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lee's head.
Owen Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lee takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Lee is breathing heavily.

Lee walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Taj al Din is winning the standup battle so far.

Lee tries to move into range but al Din moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lee there as he acknowledges the shot.
A head kick from al Din lands but Lee takes it in his stride.
Lee has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from al Din.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
al Din connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Lee might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, al Din has got the better of the exchanges.

Lee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts al Din as he jumps to the side.
Taj al Din has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Lee.
Lee closes the distance and clinches up with al Din, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes al Din against the cage but al Din circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for al Din, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
