The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Me moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Me drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Ekaku lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ekaku tries to work over Me's front leg with a kick but Me checks it.

and Ekaku counters with a three punch combo that has Me backing up. Me nods at Ekaku to acknowledge the strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ekaku takes a little break here. Me wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Ekaku wants to lay and pray for a moment but Me keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That has opened up Mini Me's cut even more.
Ekaku is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Me can do to turn this around?

Ekaku has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
