The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quik lands with an overhand left.
Menjivar tries to land a leg kick but Quik saw it coming and moves away.
Menjivar tries a head kick but it misses.
Menjivar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Quik throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Quik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Menjivar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Menjivar misses with a body kick.
Menjivar lands a high kick!

It looks like Jamal Quik has been cut.
Menjivar ducks under a wild hook from Quik.
Victor Menjivar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Quik dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Menjivar. That did some damage!
Quik fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Menjivar.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Menjivar throws a body punch but Quik moves out of range.
Quik avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Quik throws a front kick that sends Menjivar stumbling back into the ropes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quik pushes Menjivar back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Quik creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
