Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitriy Boyko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Duddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dmitriy Boyko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Duddy!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duddy swinging wildly here.
Boyko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boyko takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Duddy throws a series of punches but Boyko moves out of range.
Duddy throws a right hand that Boyko ducks under and follows up with a left that Boyko also avoids with ease.
Boyko shoots in and drives through. Duddy sprawls well.
Duddy throws a sloppy head kick and Boyko moves out of range easily.
Duddy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boyko circles away quickly and effectively.
Boyko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Duddy.
John Duddy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyko slips under a jab.
Duddy misses with a double jab.
Duddy throws a right and a left that Boyko avoids nicely.
Boyko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Duddy doesn't manage to clinch there - Boyko circles away.
Duddy leaves Boyko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Boyko dives in and grabs Duddy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Duddy pushes down on Boyko's head and hops out.

Boyko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duddy's waist but Duddy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boyko off to one side.

Duddy looks to land a combination but Boyko avoids it well.

Duddy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice defenses there by Duddy.
Duddy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fight stays on the outside here - Duddy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dmitriy Boyko's cut is getting worse.
Boyko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Boyko there as he acknowledges the shot.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Boyko. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Duddy throws a right and a left that Boyko avoids nicely.

Duddy has Boyko up against the cage in a clinch.
Boyko has Duddy pressed against the cage, preventing Duddy from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Duddy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Duddy scores with a one two! Boyko had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Duddy tries to close the distance and clinch but Boyko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Duddy throws a looping overhand right but Boyko ducks down to avoid it.

Boyko shoots for a double leg takedown but Duddy sprawls well. He's pushed Boyko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boyko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Duddy sprawls well initially but Boyko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Boyko wants to control but Duddy is keeping him busy.
Duddy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Boyko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Boyko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duddy pinned against the cage. Duddy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Duddy tries to bum rush Boyko with a series of wild strikes but Boyko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

You can see the frustration on Duddy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Boyko works to advance to full mount. Duddy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Boyko jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Duddy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Duddy and Boyko has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Boyko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Boyko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Boyko is working for a kimura but Duddy is defending it quite comfortably.
John Duddy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boyko is stalling here. Duddy is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Boyko seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Duddy has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

John Duddy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Duddy winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
