Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Riseman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucius Shine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucius Shine!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riseman slaps away a takedown attempt from Shine, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Shine tries to move into full mount but can't pass Riseman's legs.

Shine dives in and grabs Riseman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Riseman pushes down on Shine's head and hops out.
Shine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Riseman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shine swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Shine looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Riseman is fending him off so far but Shine persists. Nope, Riseman circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Riseman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Riseman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Shine is defended easily by Riseman.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lucius Shine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
