PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otso Sika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gugo Ograni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ograni is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ameno - Era . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gugo Ograni!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sika shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Ograni is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sika pulls his head out easily.
Sika moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Ograni.
Ograni manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Sika is trying to stand up here but Ograni is controlling him well.

Ograni is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sika doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ograni.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sika pushes Ograni off looking to stand but Ograni dives back in and keeps control.

Sika is trying to maintain the position but Ograni is very close to passing his half guard.
Ograni thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sika changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Sika looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Ograni with the active half guard here but Sika passes nicely into side control.
Ograni is looking for a sweep.

Ograni manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ograni stops Sika from getting back to his feet.
Sika is refusing to be controlled, as Ograni sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sika tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Ograni manages to move to mount!

Ograni working for a submission but Sika is keeping him at bay.

Sika really wants to buck Ograni off and get back to his feet.
Poor strikes thrown by Ograni there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Ograni jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sika manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Sika can't do much from the bottom here.
Sika manages to get back to half guard.
Ograni thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sika's head.
Sika gets back to full guard.

Sika looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ograni accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sika wriggles free and stands up.
Sika lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ograni circles away quickly and effectively.

Sika fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ograni avoids it really well and circles away.
Sika looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ograni is fending him off so far but Sika persists. Nope, Ograni circles away and we're back to standing.

Sika feints and as Ograni raises his hands in defense, Sika changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ograni is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Sika has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ograni to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sika is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ograni pulls down on the head and he's put Sika to sleep! This one is all over!
