The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plenipes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kirshaw swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Plenipes wants to slow Kirshaw down by chopping away at his legs.
Plenipes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kirshaw cracks Plenipes with an open hand slap.
A jab lands there for Kirshaw.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Kirshaw counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kirshaw moves into range and connects with a jab.

and Kirshaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Plenipes drops his hands momentarily. Kirshaw doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Plenipes staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Plenipes doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
