Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JP Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai comes to the cage accompanied by number girl syndrome. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Alcano is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sakurai trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sakurai is working hard here to advance position.
Alcano wants to stand but Sakurai is controlling the position.
Sakurai wants to pass the guard but Alcano is keeping the position.
Sakurai works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Alcano is looking to improve his position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sakurai avoids the head kick by Alcano.

Alcano shoots in for a takedown but Sakurai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Alcano throws a series of punches but Sakurai avoids them all with ease.
Alcano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sakurai fails with the takedown
and Alcano counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sakurai 's guard now.
Alcano drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sakurai manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Alcano has Sakurai in his guard.
Alcano looks gassed!
Sakurai drops back looking for a leg! Alcano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alcano manages to kick Sakurai off! Sakurai jumps back into Alcano's guard.
Sakurai loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Alcano keeping full guard, as Sakurai tries to pass.
Sakurai slips nicely into half guard.

Alcano won't allow Sakurai to pass to mount.
Sakurai wants to control but Alcano is keeping him busy.
Sakurai wants to work for an arm triangle but Alcano is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Alcano is trying to get back to full guard.
Alcano is refusing to be controlled, as Sakurai sits in half guard.

Sakurai passes to full mount!
Alcano is trying to escape the mount.

Sakurai is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Alcano to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Alcano shrugs it off.
Alcano is looking to improve his position but Sakurai isn't that keen on the idea.
