Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dew Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dew Rain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Brookins!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rain gets the takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brookins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rain is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brookins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rain creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brookins sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Brookins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rain unloads with some shots from mount but Brookins bucks and avoids them well.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Rain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brookins's guard.

Rain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brookins's head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Brookins defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rain.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brookins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brookins's waist but Brookins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rain off to one side.

Kevin Brookins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
