Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck McBuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell has chosen Let's Be Friends as his entrance music. Chuck McBuck had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Chuck McBuck had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chuck McBuck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBuck misses with a looping right.
A slow jab from McBuck misses its intended target.
Mitchell wants to clinch.
Mitchell is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mitchell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McBuck.
Mitchell moves out of range as McBuck strikes.

McBuck drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McBuck is looking to take a break and control but Mitchell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mitchell tries to escape but McBuck is in control.
McBuck looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mitchell is avoiding damage well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by McBuck or perhaps it was just good defense by Mitchell which made him look bad.
Mitchell misses with the combination.
McBuck slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Mitchell moves into the clinch.
Nice body punch from McBuck - that landed with a thud.
Mitchell is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McBuck is keeping busy.

Mitchell is working McBuck over against the ropes.
Mitchell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McBuck avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

McBuck is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mitchell is keeping busy.
Mitchell is trying to break the clinch but McBuck has him pressed against the ropes.

Mitchell is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
McBuck digs a right hand into Mitchell's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Mitchell's gas tank.

McBuck is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Mitchell can't fight it off and eventually McBuck manages to take the fight to the floor. Mitchell looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

McBuck thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mitchell is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst McBuck is controlling him.

Mitchell wants to stand up but McBuck is controlling him.
McBuck wants to control from the top but Mitchell keeps moving.

Mitchell wants to get back to his feet but McBuck is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McBuck shoots for a takedown but Mitchell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mitchell tries a head kick but it misses.
Mitchell misses with the combination.
Mitchell ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mitchell stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck McBuck. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mitchell tries to clinch up but McBuck circles away and keeps his distance.
Mitchell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mitchell misses with a low kick.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McBuck misses with a hook. Mitchell ducked under it nicely.
Mitchell fails with the takedown

and McBuck counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McBuck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mitchell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McBuck prevents Mitchell from getting back to his feet.
McBuck is looking to work some ground and pound but Mitchell has wrist control.
McBuck is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

McBuck postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mitchell is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McBuck, into his guard.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
McBuck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mitchell looking to pass the guard.
Mitchell wants to control from the top but McBuck keeps moving.
McBuck is pulling down on Mitchell's head. It's preventing any offense from Mitchell, at least for the moment.
McBuck is trying to control the position from the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McBuck is really struggling to control Mitchell but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Mitchell stands up from guard. Let's bang!
McBuck keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mitchell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McBuck circles away quickly and effectively.
Mitchell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mitchell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Mitchell swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McBuck scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
McBuck lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mitchell backs up against the ropes.
Mitchell doesn't manage to clinch there - McBuck circles away.
McBuck digs a good hook to Mitchell's body.
Mitchell throws a right and a left that McBuck avoids nicely.
Mitchell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mitchell tries to clinch but McBuck is having none of it.
Mitchell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McBuck connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mitchell momentarily.
A big right from McBuck misses.
McBuck takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mitchell throws a head kick but McBuck moves out of range.
McBuck throws a hook but Mitchell blocks it.
McBuck pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mitchell misses with a straight right.
Dave Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McBuck throws a looping overhand right but Mitchell ducks down to avoid it.
Mitchell blocks a jab.

Mitchell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McBuck is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

McBuck throws a strike but Mitchell avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Mitchell wants to get back to his feet but McBuck is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

McBuck sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mitchell's guard.
McBuck wants to free his trapped foot but Mitchell is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Mitchell is not content to let McBuck control the position.

McBuck thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McBuck wants to control but Mitchell is keeping him busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McBuck takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
McBuck walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Mitchell throws a lazy right hand but McBuck sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Mitchell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

McBuck shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mitchell's guard.

McBuck working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
McBuck passes into half guard.
McBuck is taking a breather. Mitchell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Mitchell wants to control but McBuck is keeping busy.
McBuck uses his free foot to push down on Mitchell's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mitchell.

McBuck controlling the position easily from mount.
McBuck throwing strikes here but Mitchell is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
McBuck wants to control the pace but Mitchell is squirming around nicely.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mitchell trying desperately to get to his feet.
McBuck tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
McBuck looking to control but Mitchell is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mitchell wants to try and get back to his feet.

McBuck lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Mitchell tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Mitchell tries to hold on but McBuck pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chuck McBuck showed his dominance in that final round.
I think McBuck has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
