Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenichi Shirahama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fausto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shirahama comes to the ring accompanied by Fade To Black. Silva has chosen Ice Cream Paintjob-Lil Wayne as his entrance music. Kenichi Shirahama had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shirahama!
Silva is looking to stand but Silva has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Shirahama holds on to Silva as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Shirahama bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Silva doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Shirahama is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Shirahama will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Shirahama is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Silva defends it well.
Silva is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shirahama's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shirahama's back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shirahama is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silva doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Shirahama.

Shirahama shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Shirahama has an Americana. Silva didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shirahama is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shirahama hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
