PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hercules Belvedere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belvedere comes to the cage accompanied by Lupe Fiasco - Superstar. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Julius Kane was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hercules Belvedere!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julius Kane!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belvedere takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Kane closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Belvedere to the mat! Belvedere manages to get full guard.
Kane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Belvedere looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kane is one step ahead there.

Kane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Belvedere has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kane has managed to get both his arms back between Belvedere's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kane can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kane might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Belvedere kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Belvedere. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kane's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Belvedere's hands.
