Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Padraig Keane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Quik might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Zro ft. Devin the Dude - Hit'em with the Mule (Ratatatat Remix). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keane thows a body shot but no joy.
Quik lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd cheers as Keane lands an impressive looking overhand right. Quik doesn't seem phased though.
Quik dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Quik connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Padraig Keane has been cut.
Quik walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Keane checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Quik attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Keane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Quik counters with a left and a right that stings Keane.

and Keane counters with a three punch combo that has Quik backing up. Quik nods at Keane to acknowledge the strikes.

Quik tries to work over Keane's front leg with a kick but Keane checks it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Quik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Keane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Keane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Keane counters with a good, hard body kick but Quik shrugs it off.

Quik paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Keane has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Quik.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Keane is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Quik is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Keane can do to turn this around?

Padraig Keane's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
