Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alexei Vestuvich!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steeves closes the distance and clinches up with Vestuvich, looking for a takedown. Steeves pushes Vestuvich against the cage but Vestuvich circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Steeves shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vestuvich pinned against the cage. Vestuvich gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vestuvich stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davey Steeves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steeves keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Steeves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vestuvich but Vestuvich pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice sprawl there from Vestuvich as Steeves shoots in.
Steeves shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Steeves showed some decent athleticism there.
Steeves is working for a kimura but Vestuvich is defending it quite comfortably.
Vestuvich is not content to let Steeves control the position.

Vestuvich is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Vestuvich is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Steeves is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vestuvich is in trouble now - Steeves has advanced to mount!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Steeves jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Vestuvich is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Vestuvich and Steeves has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Vestuvich is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Vestuvich is looking for a sweep. Steeves is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Steeves works his way into full mount!
Vestuvich is trying desperately to improve position.
Vestuvich tries to hold on but Steeves pushes him away.
Steeves tries to control but Vestuvich wriggling away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Steeves controlling the position easily from mount.
Steeves quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Steeves but it's paid off an Vestuvich is forced to tap! Nice work by Steeves.
