The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Junttila forces his way into half guard.
Smith is trying to get back to full guard.
Smith throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Junttila seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Junttila has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Junttila. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Junttila takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
