The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goines fails with the takedown.

Brooke throws a body punch but Goines moves out of range.

Goines takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nice sprawl there from Brooke as Goines shoots in.

Goines misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Goines takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Brooke throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Goines closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brooke circles away.
Goines takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Brooke works over Goines's head and body with a nice combination.
Goines shoots in for a double leg but Brooke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Brooke throws a series of punches but Goines avoids them all with ease.
Brooke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Brooke slaps away a takedown attempt from Goines, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Goines misses with a hook. Brooke ducked under it nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Brooke as he connects with a hook.

Goines closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brooke circles away.

Brooke closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Goines! Brooke dives in looking to finish! Goines is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
