PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brij Khali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stav Ignacio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khali comes to the cage accompanied by Masters of Mixed Martial Arts . I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ignacio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Khali defends it nicely.

Ignacio scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Ignacio is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Khali doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ignacio.

Ignacio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Khali is just riding it out for now. Ignacio eventually gives up the hold.
Ignacio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ignacio is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Khali defends it well.

Ignacio seems to be working for a kimura but Khali defends the submission attempt.
Khali is looking to control Ignacio's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khali avoid being mounted?

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Khali tries to roll over but Ignacio keeps him under control.
Ignacio with the ground and pound but Khali uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Ignacio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Khali manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ignacio has Khali in his guard.

Ignacio working for submissions but it's allowed Khali to get to half guard.
Khali wants to stand but Ignacio has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Ignacio is not content to let Khali control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ignacio is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Khali pulls his head out easily.

Ignacio is adopting a defensive guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ignacio controls Khali momentarily but Khali frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stav Ignacio dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Khali tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ignacio was well out of range. Poor timing from Khali.
A punch combination from Khali misses.
Ignacio misses with a takedown attempt - Khali sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Khali lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Stav Ignacio has been cut.
Khali misses with a looping right.
Khali throws a right and a left that Ignacio avoids nicely.
Ignacio shoots in but Khali avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Khali looks to throw the jab but Ignacio is out of range.
Khali's corner calls for a 1-2. Khali obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Ignacio is rocked!
Khali throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ignacio is still on wobbly legs! Can Khali finish him?
Khali drops Ignacio with a huge uppercut! Ignacio drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Khali is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
