The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe throws a good cross that connects.
Young changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joe tries to avoid it but Young manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joe to the ground. Joe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Joe connects with a right hand. Young shakes it off.
Joe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nice takedown defense from Joe. No joy for Young on that attempt.
Nice jab there from Joe.
Joe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Young shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joe sprawls well. Joe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Young gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edgar Young. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A right-left combo lands from Joe.
Young shoots in looking for a takedown. Joe tries to sprawl out of it but Young keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Joe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Young takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Joe is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Young is trying hard to land a takedown here. Joe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Young needs to keep his hands up - Joe had a free shot at his head there.
Joe lands a hook that stumbles Young back into the cage. Joe follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Young to the canvas! Joe pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Young has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
