Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mad Dog Vachon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vachon comes to the cage accompanied by Gros jambon. On his way into the cage it seems that Mad Dog Vachon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mad Dog Vachon seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mad Dog Vachon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reggie Smith!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vachon manages to avoid it.
Smith misses with a looping left.
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vachon.
Vachon staying out of range there.
A slow jab from Smith misses its intended target.
Vachon slips a jab from Smith.
Vachon moves out of range as Smith strikes.
Vachon missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vachon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
Smith wants to clinch.
Vachon shoots in but no luck this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vachon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Smith paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Smith lands a left and a right that send Vachon crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Vachon is rocked!
Vachon has a takedown stuffed.
Vachon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mad Dog Vachon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A big right from Smith misses.
Smith gets the takedown into side control.
Vachon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Smith's best efforts.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Smith is looking for a kimura here.
Smith trying to mount his opponent but Vachon defends it.
Smith is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vachon has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Vachon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Smith looks gassed!
Vachon looking for submissions off his back.

Smith stops Vachon from getting back to his feet.
Smith is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Smith looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Smith works his way into side control.
Smith thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vachon is trying to get back to half guard.
Vachon is trying to control Smith's posture but Smith avoids it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vachon tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.

Vachon gets back to half guard.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Vachon is defending well.
Smith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vachon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Smith.

Smith is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Smith is looking for a kimura but Vachon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smith to get the leverage.

Smith prevents Vachon from improving his position.
Smith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Vachon looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Smith trying to pass the guard but Vachon defending well.
Vachon tries to get to full guard but Smith has control of the leg.
Vachon regains full guard. Nicely done.
Vachon trying to keep a closed guard but Smith is proving a slippery customer.
Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vachon is keeping the position for now.
Vachon has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.
Vachon looking for a guillotine here but Smith defends easily.
Smith passes Vachon's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reggie Smith dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Smith clinches but Vachon breaks the clinch
and Vachon counters with a takedown into side control.
Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vachon off and has taken his back!
Smith is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Vachon knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Vachon for a finish.
Vachon looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Smith has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Vachon tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Vachon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Smith swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vachon is now in Smith's guard. A big mistake from Smith there, giving up the dominant position!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith looking for a triangle here. Vachon is fighting it but it looks tight! Smith pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Vachon is tapping out - this one is all over!
