Belvedere's entrance music is Lupe Fiasco - Superstar. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bannister gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Belvedere to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bannister throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Belvedere advances position into side control!
Belvedere looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bannister dodges the ground and pound from Belvedere.
Belvedere trying to control the position but Bannister is working away.
Belvedere tries to advance to mount but Bannister denies him.
Bannister is not content to let Belvedere control the position.
Bannister is looking to regain half guard here but Belvedere keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Belvedere stalks Bannister and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bannister's face. Bannister staggers backwards, shaken.
Bannister looks to score with a jab to the body but Belvedere is just out of range.
Bannister misses with a kick to the body.
Belvedere clinches up against the cage.
Belvedere gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Belvedere trying to control but Bannister is working from the bottom.
Belvedere slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Belvedere has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bannister!
Belvedere jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bannister is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bannister and Belvedere has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Bannister misses with a strike from the bottom.
Bannister strikes from the bottom but Belvedere takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Bannister throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Bannister is trying to escape the mount.

Bannister has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Belvedere tries to keep control of the position but Bannister is staying busy.
Belvedere has good solid back control here.
Bannister is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Belvedere has locked on a rear naked choke here! Bannister is tapping out! The fight is over!
