Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Damien Stones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stones comes into the arena with T2 Theme by Austrian Death Machine blaring out of the sound system. Damien Stones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Damien Stones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darius Parker!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stones slips a jab from Parker.
Parker blocks a jab.
Stones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
A solid leg kick lands there for Stones.
Parker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Parker stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stones.
Stones blocks a jab.

A clash of legs there as Parker blocks the low kick.
Stones throws a leg kick which misses Parker's front leg but catches the back leg as Parker tries to avoid it.
Stones thuds his right hand into Parker's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Parker looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Stones tries for a takedown but Parker sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Parker looks to land a body kick but Stones moved away.

Parker takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Stones throws a jab when Parker was well out of range.
Stones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A thudding body kick lands there by Stones!
Stones misses with a straight left.
Parker missing with a left hand there. Stones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Stones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Parker.
Stones swings for the body but Parker moves out of range.
Stones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Parker slips under a jab.

Stones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parker.

and Stones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Parker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Parker has his takedown stuffed
letting Stones counter with a right hand.
Stones cracks Parker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Stones fakes the leg kick and cracks Parker in the body.
Stones chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Parker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stones.
Parker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Parker slips under a jab from Stones.
Parker slips a straight right by Stones.
Stones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stones throws a looping overhand right but Parker ducks down to avoid it.

Stones's corner calls for a 1-2. Stones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Parker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Parker misses with a series of wild punches.
Stones is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Stones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Parker.
Stones wants to clinch.
Stones's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Stones duly obliges.
Stones tests Parker's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Parker drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Stones lands with a thumping leg kick.
Stones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parker tries to avoid it but Stones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parker to the ground. Parker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Damien Stones. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Stones counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Parker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Parker is looking to advance position but Stones won't allow it.

Stones is not content to let Parker control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damien Stones dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Parker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Damien Stones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stones works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Stones looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Parker is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ground and pound from Stones seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Parker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Stones looking to sit in guard and control but Parker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Stones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Parker manages to get himself to full guard.

Stones is pushing down on Parker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Parker is fighting to maintain full guard but Stones has managed to sneak the leg through.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Poor strikes thrown by Stones there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Parker is in a horrible position here. Stones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Stones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Parker looks a forlorn figure.
Damien Stones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.


It looks like Darius Parker has been cut.
A nice elbow there by Stones.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parker manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
