Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Jerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerman fails in his attempt to clinch.

It looks like Scott Jerman has been cut.

Miller lands a left and a right that send Jerman crashing to the mat, dazed. Miller thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Jerman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Miller has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jerman is trying to keep an underhook but Miller manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Miller stalks Jerman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jerman's face. Jerman staggers backwards, shaken.

Jerman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Miller dives on top into guard.

Miller decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jerman avoids it really well and circles away.
Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jerman.
Miller throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jerman's waist but Jerman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miller off to one side.
Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by Jerman which made him look bad.
Scott Jerman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Miller.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Miller has picked Jerman up - he's going for a ride! Miller dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Miller lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Jerman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jerman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Miller's corner calls for a 1-2. Miller obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Jerman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jerman wants it to stay on the feet.

Jerman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Miller on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
