Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jason Babcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Babcock's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Headstrong. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Smith was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith throws the left hand but Babcock avoids the punch easily.
Nice sprawl there from Smith as Babcock shoots in.
Babcock shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Smith attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Babcock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith missing with a left hand there. Babcock was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Babcock checks a leg kick.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith throws a wild body kick that Babcock sees coming a mile off.
A choreographed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Babcock takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Babcock ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Smith lands with a cross.
A jab from Babcock finds it's way through Smith's defenses.
Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Babcock on the side of the head.

Smith digs a good body shot into Babcock's ribs.
Oh Babcock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Babcock is breathing heavily.

Smith misses with an uppercut
letting Babcock counter with a right hand.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith throws a jab when Babcock was well out of range.
Babcock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Babcock uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Babcock fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Babcock seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Babcock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith drops Babcock with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Babcock! Smith dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
