Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glass Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Capwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glass Bong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mason Capwell!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong tries a head kick but it misses.
Capwell misses with a wild body shot.
Capwell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bong fails to land with a series of punches.
Capwell fails to land the takedown.
Bong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Capwell misses with an uppercut.
Bong misses with a series of wild punches.
Capwell lands with a good body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Capwell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Capwell misses with a hook.
Capwell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bong tries to bum rush Capwell with a series of wild strikes but Capwell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Capwell blocks a head kick by Bong.

Capwell bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Capwell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bong. Bong circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Capwell jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Capwell throws a big shot that misses.
Capwell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bong lands a jab-cross combination.
Capwell throws out a loose jab but Bong uses good head movement to avoid it.
Capwell connects with a looping right hand.
Some wild striking there from Bong.
Capwell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Capwell connects with a crisp jab.
Capwell takes a swing at Bong's ribcage but misses.
Bong throws a head kick that misses.
Bong lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bong.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Capwell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bong was well out of range. Poor timing from Capwell.

Mason Capwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Glass Bong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Capwell.

Capwell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Capwell lands in his opponent's guard.
Capwell is in close to Bong's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Bong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Capwell gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bong is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Capwell scores with a couple of nice shots.

Capwell drops an elbow to the side of Bong's head.
Capwell with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Bong trying to control but Capwell postures up.
Bong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bong is trying to stand up here but Capwell is controlling him well.
Capwell not doing much here.
Capwell works his way into full mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bong tries to lock up and control but Capwell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mason Capwell dominated that round.

Capwell cracks Bong with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sloppy strikes from Bong. Those never looked like landing.
Bong misses with a two punch combination.
Capwell throws a hook but Bong avoids it easily.
Bong throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bong takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Capwell lands with a hook. Bong tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A telegraphed right hand from Bong misses the target.
Bong takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bong throws a right hand that Capwell ducks under and follows up with a left that Capwell also avoids with ease.
Bong needs to keep his hands up - Capwell had a free shot at his head there.
Capwell scores with a hook to the body. Bong takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Capwell scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Capwell digs a good body shot into Bong's ribs.
A decent looking cross lands there for Capwell.
Capwell connects with the punch.
Capwell throws a shot to the body.
Capwell getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Capwell drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Capwell lands a couple of elbows.

Bong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Capwell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Capwell is nestled in close to Bong, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bong is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Capwell scores with a couple of nice shots.

Capwell looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bong is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Capwell wants to control but Bong is keeping him busy.
Bong throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Capwell looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bong has one foot on Capwell's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Capwell lands a jab to Bong's midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mason Capwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Bong takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Capwell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Capwell lands in his opponent's guard.
Capwell is in close to Bong's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Capwell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Capwell lands a strong strike to the head of Bong. That's dazed him! Capwell looking to finish here. Bong is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Capwell lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
