Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Puno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puno has chosen Fidel Entry Song as his entrance music. Fidel Puno has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fidel Puno!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Lee.
Puno looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Lee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Puno looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range.
Lee misses with a looping right.
Puno connects with a leg kick. Lee looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Puno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lee.

Lee stalks Puno and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Puno's face. Puno staggers backwards, shaken.

and Puno counters with a slapping leg kick.

and Lee counters with a straight right hand.

Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

and Puno counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Puno swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Puno walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lee checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Lee counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Puno is lucky that one didn't land flush.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Lee makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Puno really felt that one!
Lee throws a left and a right that both miss

and Puno counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Puno's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Lee looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Puno puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Puno looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Puno prevents Lee from improving his position.

Puno thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Lee to regain full guard.
Lee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Puno trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fidel Puno has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

and Puno counters with a leg kick.
Puno tries to score with a low kick but Lee moves his leg out of the way.
Puno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Puno tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lee was well out of range. Poor timing from Puno.
Puno does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Well Puno has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
