Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hijab Pummel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alvaro De Silva!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pummel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pummel wants it to stay on the feet.
Pummel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before De Silva can pounce on him.

De Silva gets caught flat footed, as Pummel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Pummel slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Pummel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
De Silva is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
De Silva is looking for a sweep. Pummel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pummel throwing shots but De Silva is blocking nicely.
Pummel is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and De Silva reverses the position - he's now on top in Pummel's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pummel wants to control but De Silva passes easily into half guard.

De Silva moves into full mount! Pummel won't be happy about that!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, De Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

De Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pummel is looking to escape.

De Silva is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pummel is surviving well by controlling De Silva's body position as best he can.

Pummel has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. De Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pummel.
Pummel is not content to let De Silva control the position.

De Silva has hold of Pummel's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Pummel seems comfortable defending it but De Silva has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Pummel is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Pummel is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but De Silva couldn't care less - he's delighted!
