The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mad dog ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Linderoth moves away.

Mad dog looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Linderoth has a closed guard, preventing Mad dog from standing up.
Mad dog stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Linderoth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mad dog will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mad dog is looking to stand up but Linderoth won't let him.
Linderoth manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mad dog manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Linderoth cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Mad dog is working to get back to half guard.
Linderoth is in the full mount, landing strikes.

It looks like John Mad dog has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mad dog sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Linderoth wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mad dog keeps working.
Mad dog has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Linderoth is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mad dog gets full guard.
Mad dog controls Linderoth momentarily but Linderoth frees himself.

Mad dog is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Linderoth defends well.

Mad dog is trying to control Linderoth's posture but Linderoth avoids it.
Linderoth scores with punches from side control.
Mad dog is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Linderoth looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mad dog is looking for a sweep.
Mad dog takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Linderoth looks up at the clock and then as Mad dog takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Linderoth smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Mad dog tries to improve position but can't.
Mad dog is working to avoid the ground and pound but Linderoth connects with a decent elbow.
Linderoth works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

John Mad dog's cut is getting worse.
Mad dog really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

John Mad dog's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Mad dog wants to control but Linderoth postures up.
Mad dog is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Linderoth uses his free foot to push down on Mad dog's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mad dog.
BOOM! Linderoth connects with a massive shot to the dome!
