Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randal Pritchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pritchard has chosen English Blood, Irish Heart - By Morrissey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Randal Pritchard has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ezekiel Savage's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pritchard throws a leg kick but Savage moved away.
Pritchard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Savage sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pritchard lands a head kick. Savage smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Pritchard throws out a loose jab but Savage uses good head movement to avoid it.
Savage takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Pritchard takes a swing at Savage's ribcage but misses.
Pritchard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Savage moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pritchard scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Savage tries to clinch but Pritchard moves out of range.
Pritchard misses the jab.
Savage fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pritchard looks to land a right hand but Savage moved out of range.

Savage shoots in looking for a takedown but Pritchard manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Savage's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Randal Pritchard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pritchard attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Savage avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Savage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pritchard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Savage fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pritchard feints and then cracks Savage's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Savage down.
Savage misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pritchard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Savage's head backwards.

Pritchard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Pritchard throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Savage counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Savage working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Savage loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Savage drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pritchard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Savage has Pritchard in his guard.
Pritchard must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pritchard would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Savage throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Savage is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pritchard wants to stand but Savage is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pritchard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Pritchard is looking to slow Savage down with leg kicks.
Pritchard swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Savage looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pritchard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savage. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Savage prevents Pritchard from standing back up.
Pritchard is looking to control Savage's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pritchard avoid being mounted?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pritchard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Pritchard has his hands clasped together around Savage's back. He's all about the action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Savage wants to work for an arm triangle but Pritchard is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Savage content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Savage looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Pritchard tries to get to full guard but Savage has control of the leg.

Savage unloads with some shots from mount but Pritchard bucks and avoids them well.

Savage goes for an armbar but Pritchard turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pritchard.
Pritchard wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Savage controls Pritchard momentarily but Pritchard frees himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Savage has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Pritchard doesn't defend quickly enough and Savage has managed to lock this one up! Can Pritchard escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Savage on a fantastic submission victory.
