The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shardlow defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Venable.

Shardlow darts in and clinches Venable up against the cage.
Venable changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Shardlow fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Venable misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Venable shoots for a double leg takedown but Shardlow sprawls well. He's pushed Venable's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters circle, before Shardlow throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Venable's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Shardlow lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
