The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka throws a shot to the body.
Tanaka lunges at McGill with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by McGill's hand.
McGill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tanaka.
Tanaka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tanaka wants it to stay on the feet.

Tanaka has his foot on McGill's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McGill works his way back into a safe position though.
McGill throws a strike but Tanaka rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McGill is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tanaka asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Tanaka is looking to take a break and control but McGill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
