Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Numa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ninja Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Numa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, You're Going Down. Keiji Numa had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keiji Numa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ninja Steele!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele blocks a head kick by Numa.
A left lands for Numa.
Horrible takedown by Steele or perhaps it was just good defense by Numa which made him look bad.
Numa defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Steele.
Numa just misses with a punch to the body.
Numa lands with a slapping head kick.
Numa throws a nice looking combination but Steele bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Numa catches Steele with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Numa misses with a few strikes there.
Steele shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Numa but Numa pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Keiji Numa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ninja Steele.
Numa works over Steele's head and body with a nice combination.

Steele shoots in but Numa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Steele fails with a takedown attempt.
Numa misses with a wild combination.
Steele takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Good shot there by Numa.
Steele shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Numa pinned against the cage. Numa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Numa throws a leg kick which misses Steele's front leg but catches the back leg as Steele tries to avoid it.

Numa lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Steele closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Numa quickly recovers to half guard.
Numa tries to kick Steele off but Steele keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Steele is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Numa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Steele.
Steele throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Steele takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Numa is working the combinations to good effect here.
Steele is breathing heavily.
No joy there for Numa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Steele takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Steele throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Numa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Steele is in Numa's guard.
Numa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Steele is one step ahead there.
Numa has control of Steele's left arm, preventing Steele from doing any damage.
Numa controls Steele momentarily but Steele frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Numa wants to control but Steele postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Numa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steele on the ground.
Numa bucks up and tries to throw Steele off but instead Steele has got his back!

Numa manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Steele is now in side control.
Numa tries to improve position but can't.

Steele wants to lay and pray for a moment but Numa keeps working.

Steele tries for a kimura but Numa is defending well.
Numa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Numa tries to get out of the position.
Numa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Steele has just dragged him back down to the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Steele creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Numa sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The ground and pound from Steele seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Keiji Numa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Steele tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Steele has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ninja Steele has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Numa is pushing Steele's head away, looking to escape. Steele manages to hold on to the position though.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ninja Steele.
I think Numa has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
