Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Brooklyn by Jay Z. Potter is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter scoring well with a low kick there.
Potter moves out of range as Johnson strikes.
Johnson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Johnson there as he acknowledges the shot.
Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Potter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Potter scores with a punch to the head.
Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Potter counter with a right hand.
Potter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Potter moves into range and connects with a jab.
Potter digs a good hook to Johnson's body.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Johnson throws a combination that misses
and Potter counters with a nice uppercut.
Potter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Potter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Johnson sprawling to the canvas! Johnson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Potter finish him?!

Johnson is rocked!
Potter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A shot to the liver by Potter. Beautiful body shot.
Johnson seems to have got his legs back now.

Potter cracks Johnson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Potter has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Johnson to stand back up!
Potter is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Johnson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Potter bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Potter throws a shot to the body.
Johnson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Potter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Johnson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Potter cracks Johnson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Johnson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Potter finish him?
Potter ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kevin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Potter lands with a kick to the temple. Johnson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Potter cracks Johnson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Potter has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Johnson to stand back up!

Potter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johnson.
Potter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Potter lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts.

Johnson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Potter lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily.
Potter lands a right hook to the body.
Johnson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Potter digs a good body shot into Johnson's ribs.
Potter connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Good leg kick by Potter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Johnson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Potter lands a big right hand that sends Johnson crashing to the mat! Potter stays standing though and waves Johnson back to his feet!
Potter scoring well with a low kick there.
Potter cracks Johnson with a left hook right on the temple and Johnson goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Potter lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Johnson is OK!
