Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dew Rain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Management (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Management is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Walk by Pantera. Dew Rain has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dew Rain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ray Management!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rain drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rain works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rain trying to control from half guard but Management is working away.

Rain wants to work for an arm triangle but Management is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rain thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rain throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Management is staying active underneath Rain, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rain is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Rain is trying to work for a kimura but Management is defending well.

Management gets back to full guard.
Rain is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Rain passes Management's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Management is staying active underneath Rain, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rain connects with a nice short shot to Management's temple.
Rain wants to control but Management is keeping him busy.
Rain is looking to advance position but Management won't allow it.
Well, if Rain is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rain scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Rain looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Management with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Management is wriggling around but Rain manages to pass to half guard.

Rain is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Management doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rain.

Rain has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Management, who protects the arm well.
Management dodges the ground and pound from Rain.

Rain looks up at the clock and then as Management takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rain smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Check out the look on Rain's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Rain creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Rain wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Management, who protects the arm well.
Rain has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Management really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rain lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Rain fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rain cracks Management with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
BOOM! Rain connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rain working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Rain is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Management is surviving well by controlling Rain's body position as best he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dew Rain dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Management throws a head kick but Rain moves out of range.

Rain feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rain drops back looking for a leg! Management is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Management manages to kick Rain off! Rain jumps back into Management's guard.
Rain throws and elbow that misses. Management uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rain's guard. Nice move by Management!
Dew Rain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Management defends it easily.
Management wants to pass the guard but Rain is keeping the position.
Rain not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Rain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Management gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Management is looking to work some ground and pound but Rain has wrist control.
Rain trying to strike off his back.

Rain looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Management trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Management's guard.

Rain throws a big right hand that misses.
Rain is pushing down on Management's leg trying to pass to half guard. Management is fighting to maintain full guard but Rain has managed to sneak the leg through.

Management tries to roll over but Rain keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rain is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Management sees it coming and defends easily.

Dew Rain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rain is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Management can do to turn this around?
Rain has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rain tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rain, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
