The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Young. Sokoudjou does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sokoudjou shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Sokoudjou's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sokoudjou takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sokoudjou tries a head kick but it misses.
Young throws a half hearted mid kick.

Sokoudjou decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sokoudjou is looking to take a break and control but Young is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sokoudjou throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Sokoudjou seems to be working for a kimura but Young defends the submission attempt.
Young tries to kick Sokoudjou off but Sokoudjou keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
