PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by DONE IT ALL. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Tran!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tran moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Santos lands an overhand right.


It looks like Johnny Tran has been cut.
Santos scores with a nice head shot.
Santos goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tran takes one to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Santos slow jab from Tran misses its intended target.
Santos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tran.
Tran shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
A jab-cross combination lands for Santos and sends Tran crashing to the mat! Santos follows him down to the mat - Tran regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Tran is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Santos pulls his head out easily.

Well, if Santos is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Tran is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Santos has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jesus Santos just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Johnny Tran's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Jesus Santos!
