Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I am a true Irishman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ralph McGuire has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dave Hook's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hook with a poor takedown

and McGuire counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McGuire.

Hook has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McGuire can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hook is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McGuire is aware though and is defending well.

Hook has his foot on McGuire's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McGuire works his way back into a safe position though.

Hook had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McGuire defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGuire accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McGuire trying to control the position from guard on top but Hook is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

McGuire is looking to take a break and control but Hook is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

McGuire lands a strong strike to the head of Hook. That's dazed him! McGuire looking to finish here. Hook is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - McGuire lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
