Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Liu Bei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gruber has chosen Irwin Goodman - St. Pauli Ja Reeperbahn as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bei bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Good leg kick by Gruber there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bei throws a jab but it's blocked by Gruber.
Gruber takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gruber has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bei finds it's way round the side to connect with Gruber's head.

It looks like Hans Gruber has been cut.
Gruber looks to score with a jab to the body but Bei is just out of range.
Gruber shoots in looking for a takedown. Bei tries to sprawl out of it but Gruber keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bei manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gruber on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Hans Gruber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bei closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Gruber parries the strikes from Bei easily there. Bei is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gruber to escape.

Bei displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gruber throws out the jab.
Bei takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Gruber will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gruber looks to land a right hand but Bei moved out of range.
Gruber loads up on a big right hand but Bei slips the punch.
Gruber bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bei's head.
Bei dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bei changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gruber tries to avoid it but Bei manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gruber to the ground. Gruber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bei is breathing heavily.
Bei shoots for a takedown but Gruber saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bei throws an overhand right that lands on Gruber's shoulder, as Gruber tries to avoid the shot.
Gruber ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Bei walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gruber swats away the attempt to clinch by Bei.
Gruber connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Bei gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
