Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juanito Sandoval!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vovchanchyn has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Vovchanchyn there as he acknowledges the shot.
A head kick misses from Sandoval.
Vovchanchyn connects with a body shot that sends Sandoval's belly button to the back.
Sandoval punishes Vovchanchyn's body with a nice straight punch.
A big right from Sandoval misses.
Sandoval thows a body shot but no joy.
Vovchanchyn swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sandoval.
Vovchanchyn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sandoval counters with a nice leg kick.
Juanito Sandoval seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vovchanchyn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sandoval.
A big right from Vovchanchyn misses.

and Vovchanchyn counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Vovchanchyn counters with a straight right hand.

Some bone on bone action there as Sandoval checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sandoval tries to work over Vovchanchyn's front leg with a kick but Vovchanchyn checks it.

and Sandoval counters with a nice leg kick.
Vovchanchyn tries a low kick but Sandoval avoids it.
Vovchanchyn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sandoval counters with a good low kick that Vovchanchyn was not able to check.
Vovchanchyn gets the takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sandoval manages to work his way to half guard, despite Vovchanchyn's best efforts.

Vovchanchyn wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Sandoval uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Vovchanchyn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Vovchanchyn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Vovchanchyn is pushing down on Sandoval's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sandoval is fighting to maintain full guard but Vovchanchyn has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Vovchanchyn works his foot free and advances to mount.
Sandoval tries to lock up and control but Vovchanchyn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

It looks like Juanito Sandoval has been cut.

Vovchanchyn prevents Sandoval from getting the reversal.
Sandoval wants to hold on but Vovchanchyn pushes him away.
Vovchanchyn lands with some strikes.
That has opened up Juanito Sandoval's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Juanito Sandoval's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
