I think Potter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT. Carter Potter has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Miller!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller checks a low kick from Potter.
Miller misses with an uppercut
and Potter counters with a solid body kick.
Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Potter lands a right hook to the body.
Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Potter looks to score with a jab to the body but Miller is just out of range.
Miller throws a poor cross that misses
and Potter counters with a body kick.
Potter scores with a jab to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Potter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Miller keeps the fight on the outside.
Good shot there by Potter.
Potter missing with a left hand there. Miller was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Miller looks gassed!
Potter lands with a slapping head kick.
Potter lands a body shot.
Potter misses the shot to the body.
Potter misses with a body shot.
Potter lands a head shot.

Miller tries to keep at a distance but Potter has taken the fight into the clinch.
Potter dodges an elbow strike from Miller.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Potter taking a breather.
Miller misses with a hook to the ribs.
Potter tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Potter with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Miller wants to break free but Potter has control.
A short body shot lands from Potter as the two fighters clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Miller scores with a shoulder strike.
Potter controlling the action here for a moment.
Potter digs a right hand into Miller's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Miller's gas tank.
Potter comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Matt Miller has been cut.
Potter's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A short left from Potter.
Potter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Miller backwards.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Potter working some nice short punches in the clinch.


Miller is rocked!
Potter throws a big uppercut that drops Miller! More strikes from Potter and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Miller lies dazed against the cage as Potter celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carter Potter!
