PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martin Kreizermann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and T Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kreizermann's entrance music is "Feuer Frei" by Rammstein. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreizermann wants to clinch.
Kreizermann avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kreizermann drives through and clinches with Rex against the cage.
Kreizermann lands an elbow inside that Rex shrugs off.
Rex tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kreizermann just stands there and leans against the cage.

Rex gets underhooks to prevent Kreizermann's takedown attempt.

Kreizermann breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kreizermann shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kreizermann was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kreizermann wants to finish this one by submission but Rex is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kreizermann.
Rex bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Kreizermann wants to sweep here but Rex controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rex scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Rex keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kreizermann's head.

Rex stands up and waves to Kreizermann to follow him.

Rex drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kreizermann gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Martin Kreizermann has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of T Rex.

Rex closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kreizermann takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kreizermann has one foot on Rex's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rex has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rex postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kreizermann looks a forlorn figure.
Rex cracks Kreizermann with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rex cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Oh Kreizermann is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A nice elbow there by Rex.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rex is landing with some decent strikes but Kreizermann is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
